Dog Training
Our training courses are designed to develop your relationship with your dog and also to improve their ability to happily socialise with the world around them. Our courses are set over 6 weeks, one lesson per week, lasting for approximately 1 hour.
The classes are instructed by Bronwyn Meyer who has recently joined the K9 Express team, she is originally from South Africa where she worked as a head dog training instructor. Bronwyn has a fantastic manner with both the dogs and the handlers, always calm with a wealth of knowledge and we find she gets the very best from her all of her 'students'.
We have 3 classes available
Puppy Class.
As soon as they have the 'all clear' from the vets they are welcome to attend our puppy class, the class is designed with fun in mind, lots of playing with toys and other puppies. We also work on the basics of puppy training and can offer all the advise you need.
Level 1 - Basic
This course includes both traditional obedience i.e. Heel work, sit stays, down stays, recalls etc. More importantly it includes how to gain respect from your dog and how increase your dogs social development to achieve a happy relationship. We use positive reinforcement, we do not use clickers, we do not fail dogs or exclude them. All dogs can achieve success its about finding the right path.
Level 2 - Advanced
This course is for dogs who have completed level 1 or have attended other dog training courses and have achived a basic level of obedience. This class is design to take your training to a much higher level. Lots more off the lead training, longer sit/down stays, recalls, send aways etc. etc.
The classes take place at our daycare centre in Hewish (2 miles from the M5 roundabout) The price for the course is £50 per dog, we encourage every one who is directly involved with the handling of your dog to come along. We accept payment by Cash/Card/Cheque. The payment is due in advance of the course starting and is non refundable.We are now taking bookings for our next course which will commence shortly, please see below.
